About this piece
This handwoven organic cotton shawl is crafted in Kutch, Bhuj (India) by artisans from rural communities with a long-standing tradition of textile making.
At each end of the shawl, a distinctive woven panel introduces fine horizontal stripes in soft mustard, pink, and pale blue, interspersed with small geometric motifs. This patterned section appears only at the ends of the shawl, not as a border running around the entire piece, and reflects the regional weaving heritage of Kutch.
Finished with hand-tied tassels in dark, complementary tones, this shawl is designed to be versatile and timeless - suitable for everyday wear or special occasions, and made to be cherished for years to come.
The making
Made in Kutch, Bhuj, by artisans from rural communities with a long-standing tradition of textile making. The handloom process is slow and precise. From preparing the yarn to weaving and finishing, each shawl takes approximately 8 hours to complete. Subtle variations in alignment, colour, and texture are a natural result of the handmade process and are preserved as a mark of authenticity.
Material & care
100% organic cotton: grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilisers, light, breathable and soft against the skin.
- Hand wash or machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, with similar colours
- Hand-dyed cotton may release a little colour in the first wash
- Dry flat or line dry in the shade; avoid tumble drying
- Warm iron on the reverse while slightly damp
