About this piece
This handwoven merino wool shawl is crafted in Kutch, Bhuj (India) by artisans from rural communities with a long-standing tradition of textile making.
At the ends of the shawl, a more detailed woven panel introduces fine horizontal striping in warm rust, mustard, and tonal pink hues. These layered lines add depth and visual interest while remaining subtle and balanced. This decorative section appears only at the ends of the shawl and does not run around the full perimeter. The shawl is finished with long, hand-tied tassels in complementary colours.
Designed to be versatile and timeless, this shawl can be worn across seasons - layered casually for everyday wear or styled more formally for special occasions and is made to be cherished for years to come.
The making
Made in Kutch, Bhuj, by artisans from rural communities with a long-standing tradition of textile making. The handloom process is slow and precise. From preparing the yarn to weaving and finishing, each shawl takes approximately 8 hours to complete. Small variations in weave, colour, and finish are a natural result of the handmade process and are preserved as a mark of authenticity.
Material & care
100% merino wool: a fine, naturally renewable fibre that is warm without bulk and softens with wear.
- Hand wash cold with a gentle wool detergent, or dry clean
- Do not wring; press out water and dry flat away from direct heat
- Cool iron on the reverse if needed
- Store folded, with cedar or lavender; do not hang
